I was looking for a much cheaper GPS alternative (there is no GPS in this, but your phone can be used as one and send data via an app to screen) and this fit the ticket and then some. As for the cons, it does take up to a minute or so after power on to boot and connect to your phone, once it connects though it is rock solid (even connected to my phone which was two rooms away while i was in garage). The mount(s) and the ball you use to mount the screen are made of plastic, albeit decently thick plastic, so be mindful of that if your main application is offroad use.Lastly, their customer support is quite honestly amazing. Had some questions about the device and had them answered almost immediately, can’t say enough good things really. Well worth the money if you’re needing a third party nav device for your moto, but don’t want to shell out hundreds of dollars.”

Customer Review: “I installed this on my 2008 Harley Davidson Road Glide. It’s awesome. The video quality is better than I expected. We have lane splitting now in Minnesota so I really wanted to cover my backside. To be clear, I created my own custom mount for the head unit. I left my stock head unit in, have the unit bluetoothed to my phone, then have my phone use a charge/audio out cable splitter that is then connected to the head unit via audio jack. I then created a bracket that bolts to the stock Harley head unit over the face of the head unit out of 16 gauge steel. Then 3d printed a custom mount that has magnets that I glued into it to secure the head unit to the bracket. This is the same as the mounting bracket that comes with this unit. I used stronger magnets to be safe since it’s on a motorcycle and don’t need it flying off at interstate speeds! I also ran the power cable inside my fairing and tapped into the power supply for my radio that only turns on when the “key” is turned on. This way it doesn’t drain my battery accidentally. Now not everyone will have the access/capabilities to create the bracket and 3d printed file, but it was worth the extra effort.”

While I thought I would use these only for navigation, I find it also makes communication and controlling music easier as well. I always found voice and intercom controls a bit clunky, so I rarely bothered with calls or music. With the large display, quickly glancing to screen calls or start, stop, skip or change a playlist is a breeze. No more pulling over to pull my phone out, everything I need is right there and accessible with a few quick taps. Android Auto always connects seamlessly after the quick bootup. Google Maps, Spotify, Phone and Messages apps are intuitive and work perfectly.The screen is large, bright and responsive even with gloves. A small touch I really love is the brightness toggle switches between bright, dim and off. Being able to turn off the display is great when I don’t want or need the display. Other units I’ve had just don’t have an easy way of turning the screen or even the whole unit off. Big plus for me for such a simple thing.The mount is easy to install and allows a lot of flexibility in positioning the display. In my case, I have it mounted near the clutch lever and tilted up and right a bit to keep in inline with the bike’s gauge cluster. If you already have a RAM style mount, you should be able reuse it and pop this on easily. Otherwise, the included metal mount is sturdy and very stable. Wiring is a breeze with only a ground and 12v line that need to be connected. Just be sure to use a 12v line that only turns on with the key. I chose to use the tail light with a Y-splitter to avoid cutting anything.”

I mounted it on the handlebars, and the position is great, also the screen size is great.There are several features I’d like to highlight. The dashcam works amazingly well, and the video quality is excellent. The touchscreen is very responsive and works perfectly. The tire pressure sensor is a little difficult to install (moderate difficulty), but once installed, it works very well.However, I do have a few concerns. The mount ” bar” is too short — I am still looking for a longer one. The screen shakes due to bike vibrations, so I’m currently trying to find a solution for that. There are also too many cables. I understand they are necessary, but it would be great to have shorter cable options available. I had to use some creative “MacGyver-style” solutions to hide the cables, but I managed to make it work.The connectivity with the phone is wireless/bluetooth and works fine, easy to setup.Overall, I recommend it. I had a problem with the tire pressure sensors where they began to read 117.5 psi. I reached out to customer service and they were quick to respond and very helpful. They immediately shipped me a new set of sensors that seem to be working well.The installation was pretty self-explanatory and simple. The 4K camera clarity is surprisingly good. I’m able to read license plate numbers while moving on the video playback. All in all I would rate this in 9.5 out of 10.The best upgrade to my bike so far!”

Customer Review: “I bought the WonVon 7 inch Motorcycle CarPlay back in December, and I wanted to wait a couple of months before submitting my review. I’m happy to report that it’s been working Great! I just returned on a ride home from a motorcycle campout in the freezing rain on my KLR650, and my WonVon worked flawlessly. it’s nice and it feels safe to keep my iPhone secure in my jacket pocket, while still using Google maps to navigate on the WonVon CarPlay. The touchscreen works great with my motorcycle gloves. I do not have any audio hooked up to it, I feel I can stop if I get a phone call or need to read a text message. I don’t recall any problems with the installation. I already had a live wire hooked up to the ignition, powering my Garmin GPS. I just sliced the WonVon power into that wire and it seems to be working fine. I do enjoy having two different GPS units running at the same time. I’ve heard some people do this and have one with an overview map pointing north at the top, and the other one pointing out the route, turn by turn. But I have not tried that yet. I played around with the location of my WonVon on the handlebars, and I came up with the set up shown in the photographs. I like to still have my mobile phone on the handlebars at times, so I fit my RAM phone mount in there, too. It would be nice to have all the electronics mounted in a stack, like they do with the rally motorcycles. I’ll have to work on that! So overall, I am very happy and a big supporter !!”
