Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Awesome! Easy to use, easy to change from seat to laying. Comfortable!! Good value and good height especially for working on cars.
Customer Review: So I realize there are a ton of negative reviews on here that say this is poorly made, breaks easily, wheels break/come off, cover comes ripped, etc. So I took a chance and ordered it since it was pretty dang cheap (around $26). I gotta say it’s pretty awesome and I haven’t ran into any of those issues. It was kinda annoying putting it together, took me about 20 mins but I’m not that smart (: I would just say to make sure you really tighten the wheels and the frame together and you should be good. I used it to repair an exhaust leak I had and it did a great job. I didn’t have to sit there on the cold cement (did this during winter time) and I could roll around underneath the car to get what I needed. I’m kinda chunky and weigh 230 lbs and am about 6 feet tall. When I put it into chair mode, it didn’t bend under my weight or anything like that. When I was creeping around on the floor with it, it rolled fine, and didn’t crack, bend or do anything under my weight. Also to get it from creeper mode to chair mode is pretty easy, and easy to do. Everything just worked perfectly. The only issue I ran into was it didn’t get very close to the floor, so I had to have the jack stands all the way up. But overall, this creeper is amazing ESPECIALLY for the price I paid.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: If needing a good rolling creeper, this rolling creeper is very comfortable and durable. The trays that hold the tools underneath the seat are very handy and helpful. Really good product.
Customer Review: I thought given the price that this would be a cheaply made, poorly designed rolling seat that was uncomfortable and barely did the job. I was badly mistaken. First of all the foam of the seat is a good 2.5 inches thick. I am 6’5″ and 260lbs and the seat is big enough for me to be comfortable on. If it is for me it is for most other people. Next, the seat is supported by what appears to be 1/8″ thick steel square tubing. On a product at this price that blew my mind. It says the max weight is 250lbs but I can stand on this thing and feel zero flex. Sitting on it is totally secure. The best part though is the wheels are great. They are quality wheels that spin very freely. There is no one wheel spinning great but dragging the other three. I like to put a couple drops of superlube on them every few times I use it or whenever I remember but I have experienced zero wheel issues. Overall, this is a remarkably good deal. It took less than five minutes to put together out of the box as well. I have used $150 shop stools that were not this good. The little tray underneath your seat is also handy. Awesome product.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: So far so good. I am just under 6′ and 180 lbs. The seat is wide and comfortable. It’s easy to slide/glide with the 5″ wheels. All the others have a small seat and wheels which can make you tip over when moving. And with the height adjustment I can reach low spots on the car without having to get on my knees. Definite plus. The only detraction is that it is cheaply made so I don’t know how long it will last. I won’t use it more than once a month probably. The tray is plastic but it rests on the wheel frame so its sturdy enough. Be sure to square up the wheels for assembly. On the frame there is a square that you must match with the attachment on the wheel. My friend says they use aircraft screws so they won’t get loose and come out. Even though the price for what you get is a little high, I can’t complain about how well it functions.
Customer Review: Been using it for two days now, so far I’m impressed and glad I bought it. Rolls very easily. It won’t easily roll over a thick extension cord like some people complained about but that’s not a reasonable expectation in my opinion. Stitching is solid unlike some who complained. It’s very sturdy, the backrest makes it much more comfortable than the flat seat I used to have and sometimes slid off of. The notch in the upper backrest makes it easy to grab to pick up, and the seat back gives me something to push against with my hands to assist my weak knees when I get up. Took tray is nice and large. At first I had a problem that I thought would result in a one star rating and a return. After assembled, the seat was stuck in the lowest position. I ran to the reviews and found another person had the same problem, he rated it one star and apparently never resolved it. I thought crap, I need this thing now but I have to return it since the lowest position is way too low for my long legs. But I could not get the seat to come off to disassemble it no matter how hard I tried. How am I going to send it back if I can’t repackage it? Out of frustration, I pulled up on the handle so hard that I thought I’d break it. I expected to bend the handle by pulling so hard but it didn’t, and then suddenly pop, up went the seat! Now works fine. Very stable, comfortable, easy to move around, and most of all… it looks great! Envious looks firm neighbors when working on the car in the driveway.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I saw many brands of creeper seats on here but the moment I saw the Wen brand I pulled the trigger. Materials are very high quality and it’s pretty much pre assembled other than inserting the post into the base and dropping the seat on top of the post and you’re done . The base is a heavy gauge steel not plastic and the seat is well made as well. At 65 years old I don’t like sitting on the ground doing various projects on vehicles or in the house so this will come in very handy for those chores. It’s adjustable from 15- 20 inches. If you want quality and you struggle doing vehicle care and maintenance and it’s just too much work these days to get up off the ground, order this and it will become you new best friend.
Customer Review: I accidentally dropped my car lift arm with a 4500lb truck on the rack on this SOLID cheap stool and all I had to do was straighten the seat and bend the base a bit to get back to perfect. 10/10. Only complaint is that after 4 years this thing requires me to plop down every once in a while to get the gas out the cylinder to lower it. Quality = 10, comfort = 9, storage of tools underneath: I’ve put half inch heavy dewalt impact, 2 ingersoll rand 20v ratchets, like 20 wrenches and boat load of smaller tools SOLID

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I got this mechanic creeper stool mainly for washing my cars and inflating tires. I have a bad back that will flare up if I push it too far, so I needed something to get me low without the strain. I received the Vevor stool and assembled it in a few minutes —it was very simple.I tried it in my garage, which has a finished floor, and it rolled easily around the cars while I checked tire pressure and topped off the tires that needed air.It stows nicely away in a corner of my garage, out of the way. Overall, it is a good creeper stool and is priced well. I know some stools are many times more expensive, but if you aren’t a professional using these day in and day out, something like this is more than enough to get the job done. I do like the optionality of the trays for holding stuff, although I haven’t put anything in them yet. I should have put the tire pressure caps in the tray, but I didn’t think of that until I wrote this review!
Customer Review: Bought this to make cleaning & waking my car easier (getting older). It’s just right. Assembly was a snap, size and quality are excellent. Love the two side trays and center compartment. The cushion looks thin but feels comfy. Yes, I’d buy this again if the need arose.
Complete Buying Guide for Best Rolling Garage Stool
Essential Factors We Consider
Choosing the best rolling garage stool isn’t just about picking the first one you see; it’s about finding the right fit for your needs. We always look at several key factors. First, comfort is paramount—a well-padded seat, often with lumbar support, can make hours of work feel like minutes. Second, consider the durability of the frame and casters; you want something that can withstand the rigors of a busy workshop. Steel frames and quality wheels are a must. Adjustability, especially pneumatic height adjustment, is another big plus, allowing you to tailor the stool to different tasks and body heights. Finally, don’t overlook practical features like integrated tool trays or storage compartments, which keep your wrenches and parts within easy reach.
Budget Planning
When it comes to buying a rolling shop stool, you’ll find options spanning a wide price range. Budget-friendly models, usually under $50, can offer basic functionality and comfort for occasional use. Mid-range stools, from $50 to $100, often include better padding, sturdier frames, and useful features like tool trays or some adjustability. If you’re a professional mechanic or a serious hobbyist, investing in a premium stool over $100 might be worth it for enhanced durability, higher weight capacity, superior comfort, and advanced features like heavy-duty casters or full ergonomic support. Think about how often you’ll use it and the intensity of your tasks to find the best value for your money. Remember, a good stool is an investment in your comfort and productivity, much like choosing the right best car accessories for your vehicle.
Final Thoughts
The right rolling garage stool can significantly improve your efficiency and comfort in the workshop. By focusing on comfort, build quality, adjustability, and handy storage features, you’ll be well-equipped to make an informed decision. Whether you’re constantly moving around a vehicle for automotive scan tool diagnostics or just need a comfortable seat at your workbench, there’s a stool out there that’s perfect for you. Don’t underestimate the impact a quality stool can have on your long-term well-being and productivity!
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is a rolling garage stool used for?
A: A rolling garage stool is primarily used in workshops, garages, and auto shops to provide comfortable, mobile seating for tasks that require you to be low to the ground or move frequently. It’s ideal for working on car tires, detailing, lower engine components, or at a workbench.
Q: How do I choose the right height for my mechanic stool?
A: The ideal height depends on your specific tasks and personal preference. Look for stools with adjustable height, often pneumatic, to allow customization. Ensure the stool’s height range can comfortably accommodate tasks from floor level up to your workbench height without straining your back or neck.
Q: Are all rolling garage stools stable?
A: Not all stools offer the same level of stability. Look for models with a wide base (often five-star), robust frame materials like heavy-gauge steel, and quality casters that don’t wobble. High weight capacity ratings usually indicate a more stable and durable construction.
Q: Can I replace the wheels on my shop stool if they break?
A: In many cases, yes. Most rolling garage stools use standard caster wheels that can be replaced. If a wheel breaks or wears out, you can often purchase universal replacement casters, which can extend the lifespan of your stool. This can be especially useful if you are constantly moving the stool across rough garage floors or using it for tasks like moving a battery for charging with a portable jump starter.
There you have it – our top picks for the best rolling garage stool to make your workshop life easier and more comfortable. Each of these stools brings something unique to the table, from convertible designs to ample tool storage and robust construction.
