Instructions are clear, simple.Two points to mention.When you put a camera in anything dirty, it’s easy to gunk up the lens. I took a piece of stainless wire and made a coil with a couple legs. Taped the legs to the cable, so the camera was inside the little cage. That kept the camera off the bottom and sides, zero problems. Occurred to me after the fact that one could take a small wire “kitchen whisk” and make something like this easily.The second is that the system comes in a very nice case. However as is often true with long hoses and wires, it’s nearly impossible to wind them up as neatly as they came- and if you don’t, you won’t be able to get it back in the space made for it in the case.Depstech could improve on both points; provide a removable camera cage, enlarge the cable storage pocket.Overall, this device performs on a truly professional level.”

Customer Review: “Aside form my Drs office, I don’t know a whole lot about endoscope’s but this one was recommended by another generator repair technician. (JC)With this DEPSTECH DS520 Tripple lens +16ft cable, I didn’t need to know anything. It’s easier to use than most of the cell phones I’ve owned. 1 forward camera, 1 side camera & 1 side camera that has an extremely close up view, that is you can get really close to the object with one of the side cams (see valve seat damage). I love the 1080 clarity and 5in screen. I haven’t used any of the probe attachments, other than the protective cap, yet but have use it to scope out this generator engine with a broken valve, saving me several hours in disassembly, inspection and sitting around waiting for parts to come in while the generator takes up valuable shop & workbench space. Just used it again today in a fuel tank to find the fuel level gauge in pieces & using my old 4 fingered grabber, got them all out. Another few hours saved by not having to remove the tank and shake the pieces out. LoL.It easily interfaces with my computer, laptop as well as my phone & tablet with an adapter (dongle?) Although videos didn’t work on the phone but I’m sure “it’s not you, it’s me” applies here, not a scope issue. Like I said, it’s easier to use than my phone. LoL. I’ll have to figure that out later.Also enough room in the case for MY charger, dongle & a their second shorter cord if so desired I’m sure.Hint/Tip:Charge it fully before first use, it may take a while that first time.Make sure the Camera Attachment Plug is securely in. The borescope helped me find the cord and I was able to slowly fish it out with other tools. Without this camera, the RV would have needed its ceiling dropped. The picture is adequate for the work I do. This is not a high end camera where you can remotely articulate the camera from side to side, but I don’t believe I will need it because it has two camera views. I was able to take pictures and video to show the work I was doing for a customer. Very impressive. Zoom capability is modest with 1.5x but in cramped spaces, you don’t need much more than that.”

During my 40+ years of experience I have learned it is typically worth the extra money to buy quality tools designed to do a specific job. Such tools typically operate with fewer problems, produce better results, are more durable, and are a pleasure to use, instead of being a source of frustration and regret one often has when buying inferior tools.I really like most everything about this unit.- The dual camera. Being able to see straight ahead and at 90 degrees, without having to use some sort of mirror attachment, is really helpful. And being able to switch between the two views without moving the probe is invaluable (obviously can’t do that if using a mirror attachment).- The semi-rigid cable. It is flexible, yet rigid, once bent to the desired shape. It retains its shape until you change it. It doesn’t flop around like many of the less expensive units do.- The high quality image produced by the camera and screen combination. The clarity is amazing and the details you can see is impressive. The images produced have been more than adequate for any inspection that I have done.- The adjustable lights built into the probe work well. They provide sufficient light for the camera to capture a clear image. In addition, being able to reduce the intensity of the light, at times, improves the image quality. The flashlight built into the hand-held unit is handy.- The simplicity and intuitiveness of the unit operation is welcomed. Since I don’t use the unit very often, being able to take it out of the case and immediately have it up and running providing images in a matter of minutes is great. Having a unit with more “bells and whistles” but one that I would have to refer to the instruction manual, to refresh my memory on how to use it, would be a real pain. Likewise, having to depend on establishing communication with a cell phone, and the inherent challenges that can come with the software on the cell phone recognizing and communicating with the camera, etc. is not a complication I need.- The case is very nice and appropriate for a professional/industrial piece of equipment such as this.Among other inspections performed, I was able to inspect my home’s HVAC ductwork to confirm the ducts were clean and free of any mold or mildew, saving hundreds of dollars by not hiring a specialty cleaning company to clean the ducts when they really didn’t need it. I cut diametrically opposed slits in a tennis ball and pushed the probe through the slits until the end of the probe was slightly protruding from the outside of one side of the ball. Then I was able to push the probe/tennis ball through the inside of the ductwork with the tennis ball keeping the probe about 1 ½ inch (i.e. radius of the tennis ball) off the surface of the ductwork. This technique worked well and allowed a thorough inspection to be performed.”

Customer Review: “I got this to use around the house to see in small spaces, but also for a project of mine. I’ve been monitoring bird nests as part of the nest watch project and thought that this endoscope would let me see into nest boxes without opening the box. This has worked well, although I’m still working on my “aiming” ability. The picture quality is excellent and I can easily snap photos or take videos onto a small SD card. This has made nest monitoring a lot less intrusive (at least I hope so). I know this is kind of a specific thing, but I think it highlights ways this endoscope can be used for many different purposes. Here are more details about using it.The unit comes with a long, flexible tube that ends in a tiny camera surrounded by lights. I can manage the intensity of the light through a small, marked wheel on the side of the monitor box. The camera tube is connected to the monitoring base unit via a USB connector. I did find that once or twice, the USB connector wasn’t plugged in all the way and the monitoring unit reported that it couldn’t connect to the camera, but pushing the USB connector back into place solved that, so it’s not a problem, just something I check now before I use the unit. Ilike the fact that I can dial down the intensity of the light so easily.The base unit is very simple to operate and shows clearly what is visible through the camera It comes with a small micro SD card and all I had to do was to plug in the unit to a USB charger to charge it up. I’ve used it several times without having to recharge. The photos I’ve taken have been clear, so it does exactly what I wanted it to do. I’ve even been able to use velcro straps and strap the camera to a long piece of bamboo to hold the camera head up to see what was in a nest about 15 feet up in a tree.This little camera and monitoring unit is one of the most useful things I’ve purchased in a long time. It works well, takes clear photos/videos, and is super easy. Basically, when I turn it on and get the camera positioned, all I have to do is press the little OK button to take photos as it defaults to take photos. If I want a video, I just use the right arrow to point to the video camera icon and press okay to start/stop. Very easy. And besides my pet project, I’ve found it useful to look behind heavy furniture or under things to find stuff like presence or absence of dog toys so I don’t have to move something heavy only to find the toy was not there anyway. It’s a great timesaver. And very good for looking behind walls to see if there is any water damage or problems with wiring.Great tool.”

Customer Review: “This thing is pretty awesome. To be able to see what’s going on in inaccessible areas, and look around, is awesome. First saw this on a YouTube video from the channel farm craft and it looked awesome. The video isn’t bad quality. It’s a whole lot better then trying to look through a tiny hole with your eyes. Although under zoom it gets worse depending on the zoom level. The controls were easy as pie. I didn’t even need the instruction manual to figure it out. Mine came with a full battery and a 32gb micro SD card. I can always pop the sd card out of the slot, on the side of the lcd screen and upgrade it later if I need to. I got mine to see inside my air compressor while I clean it out, and prep it for coating with liquid silicone. Trying to make my new Air compressor last 20+ years and not ever form rust in the tank and possibly EXPOLDE! This endoscope will do great although, I wish they made the cable removable and sold a longer cable or include one a foot or 2 longer. It’s only about 3 feet long. Besides my complaints this thing is awesome. So many uses and much easier then endoscopes you connect to your phone, if you can get those apps to work. The 2 I have won’t work with my newer galaxy only an older one. You won’t regret buying this one!”
